New Jersey Cares for Kids offers child care for parents who work or are full-time students. PfP is designated by the state of New Jersey to determine whether parents qualify for financial assistance based on strict government guidelines. PfP also makes child care payments to licensed child care centers or registered family child care homes on behalf of parents. This program serves thousands of children and often has a waiting list, so get your subsidy application in to Programs for Parents as soon as you know you will need child care. Print out the application from the link below, or call Customer Service (973.297.1114) to have an application mailed to you.. Work First New Jersey provides child care for clients participating in job training or work as a requirement of the welfare-to-work program. Parents are counseled on available child care options and given referrals based on their specific needs. Participants in WFNJ are referred to PfP by a PfP child care counselor or by their county case manager/worker. Subsidy Applications English Spanish |
